Spanish bull fight. General view of a spanish bull fight. London, Ed. Elm, 1813. In-4 oblong, green percaline late 19th century. 12 mitered boards, tear without missing restored at the frontispiece. First bullfighting print in England, taking as model Antonio Carnicero and the travel prints of Richard Twiss and Bourgoing. Clark's work had a great influence in Spain and even throughout Europe, and served as a basis for the artists who followed. The coloured aquatints of the period, engraved by Dubourg and drawn by Clark, are taken from ''Orme's foreign field sport'' Estampas de toros, 10, El siglo de oro de las tauromaquias, estampas taurinas, p. 54.
