Travel stories in the French and Spanish Pyrenees. Biarritz, San Sebastian between 1858 and 1861. In-4, Havana half-maroquin with XX° corners, back with 5 nerves. Probably unpublished manuscript of 170 pp., enriched with watercolours, bullfight tickets, engravings, photos and flowers, contains an entire chapter devoted to Spain with descriptions of bullfights and a beautiful watercolour half-page showing a horse mounted in front of the public in the old Atocha arenas located in San Sebastian; a small watercolour depicts a toreador. Cécile Julie Thérèse Delessert (French watercolorist), by marriage, successively Viscountess of Valon (1847), then Countess of Nadaillac (1852), is a remarkable personality of the time.
