The life and work of Manuel Henriquez, matador of Novillos. Story decorated with wood. Nîmes, Joe Fabre, 1924. In-4, red half-maroquin for the first cover and gold for the second, the two colours meet in the middle of the spine on which the author's name and the title are stamped, double cover cons. (Michèle Schlessinger). 1f. 77 pp. 1f. + 10 pl. + suite of 24 ff. First edition, copy n°1 on Japon with continuation on Chine of the woodcuts (scratched or not), - Autograph letter from Hermann-Paul addressed from Belgium to M. J. Jacob mounted on tab. - 12 original drawings which served as a model for the edition (distributed on 10 plates out of text, two are recto-verso), contains: 1st part "Illi robur...", 2nd part "Le quartier des mercenaires", 3rd part "La voix de Manuel Henriquez" (confession), Pertus 102. Joint: HERMANN-PAUL. Two woods representing passes executed with the capote in the first tercio. Paris (?)], without publisher, [c.1920]. 2 large woods (18 x 24 cm). Signed in pencil by Hermann-Paul. One on vellum and the other on china (26/30).these woods were perhaps planned for his edition of Vie et travaux de Manuel Henriquez matador de novillos (1924) but must not have been retained. Ex-libris René Cluzel, engraved by François Righi.
