KLEIN (Paul Georges). Scene of alternatives with five key characters for this ceremony... The bullfighter, the godfather, the alcade and two witnesses including a picador. It is about the fitting out of a bullfighter who will become from then on "matador de toros" who can kill bulls of five years old... France], [XXth century]... Superb gouache of 66 x 50 cm, finely framed with golden rods and a burlap cover... [France], [XXth century]... The alternative ceremony is rarely reproduced... Paul Klein (1909-1994) stayed in Arles, which explains his interest in bullfighting. This pupil of Desnoyers worked in the distant extension of Impressionism.
