Reading lamp Bronze chryselephantine with silver-gold patina Signed on the terrace, 19th century cast. On a cartel annotated "Liseuse par Carrier-Belleuse, Grand Prix du Salon" 60.5 x 18 cm The ivory part representing less than 20% of the whole, this object is free of circulation according to the current regulation. Bibliography : Kjellberg, similar model (58 cm) reproduced on page 189. A sculpture of this model won first prize at the Grand Salon in Brussels in May 1871. The specimen is made of ivory of elephantidae spp. before June 1, 1947 and therefore conforms to the EU regulation of 9 / 12 / 1996 art. 2 / wmc for an exit from the European Union. A Cites of re-export will be necessary, this one being with the load of the future purchaser.
