KEYSTONE – DIOR - Lot 61
KEYSTONE – DIOR Dior fashion show at Blenheim Palace to benefit the Red Cross, November 3, 1954. "Red Cross nurses, lined up at each side of an apparently camera-conscious bust, get a close-up view of Christian Dior's Paris Winter collection as models walk from their dressing room at Blenheim Palace during the fashion show, attented by Princess Margaret, in aid of the British Red Cross Society. About 1.600 guests, all of whom had paid five-guineas each, watched the show, staged by models flown from Paris. The Palace was lent for the occasion by the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough. Photograph. Vintage silver print, stamped and captioned on the back. Marked edges. 25.7 x 20.4 cm
