EGYPT - GABRIEL LEKEGIAN 1853-1920 Al-Azhar Mosque, Cairo, 1910. Photograph. Vintage silver print mounted on cardboard, signed and titled under the image. Image: 14.4 x 39.5 cm; mount: 26.7 x 41.5 cm Gabriel Lekegian was a photographer in Cairo from 1887. He opened a studio near the Shepheard Hotel in the city's European quarter, as an artistic photographer. He used the collodion glass negative technique.
