KEYSTONE - LINDBERG
"Chicago, June 11th, 1927. It is said that here was only one other celebration in Chicago that created more excitement than did the one staged today when Capt. C. A. Lindberg arrived in Washington. When the news flashed that Lindberg arrived in Washington, Chicagoans staged a real four of July celebration, and from pratically every building in the Loop pappers, treamers, posters, etc ...were tossed into the air. A scene looking east on Madison Street from Wells shortly after the news reached Chicago", 1927.
