"Clearwater, Florida. The only "Hight Spots" in Florida's flat but fertile acres these days are the piles of golden grapefruit that together make up the largest citrus crop the state has ever produced. This one, in Florida grove, is adorned by comely fruit picker, Sally Lyon, of Clearwater. This crop will shortly be rushing on its way to Northen markets", January 12, 1938.
