The bride and groom in Faubourg-du-Temple are photographed in daylight, as electricity was lacking in Paris in 1944. For this image, Roger Schall went upstairs to immortalize the bride and groom, as well as his assistant waiting next to the Rolleiflex on a stand, in this courtyard where a shopkeeper, on the left of the image, does not let herself be distracted...
