SAMUEL CUETO 1977- - Lot 67
SAMUEL CUETO 1977- Silence, Tattooed man, Thailand, 2014. Photograph. Vintage silver print, signed and numbered 2/15 in pencil on the back. Image: 30 x 44.5 cm; sheet: 40.5 x 50.5 cm Samuel Cueto is a photographer of Spanish-Algerian origin, born in 1977, whose photographs tell us about the ghettos of Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya, the places where tourists don't venture, interlopers where the disenfranchised, the drug dealers, the mafia and the prostitutes live. This photographer shows the reality of working-class neighborhoods unfiltered and unconcerned with political correctness.
