In February 1964, the Western world is still mired in the past. Racial segregation is still in force in the United States, where the heroes of popular music are still Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. On the 18th of the month, two champions of the new world under construction meet. On the left, a 22-year-old boxer from Kentucky, Cassius Clay, who would abandon his "slave name" a month later by converting to Islam. On the right, four long-haired kids from the working-class districts of Liverpool, who had arrived eleven days earlier to conquer the America of concert halls and TV studios.
