Jacques HUET (1932-2009) - Lot 49

Jacques HUET (1932-2009) The Vernon Mill, Eure. Oil on canvas signed lower right. 46 x 55 cm Trained by great Elbeuvian painters such as Potel and Vergetas, and a disciple of Albert Malet, Jacques Huet is part of the great tradition of impression and style of the Rouen School. Noted for the luminous richness of his palette, Huet captures serene stretches of water and changing skies. Faithful to the Divisionist touch, he thus remains in the Post-Impressionist tradition, while continuing, with his own personal style, to interpret the effects of light and the reflections of color as the seasons change.
