"A vision of Dante. These two silhouettes of men appearing against the white background of a huge wave ready to engulf them in its foamy mass, don't they evoke some unreal vision out of Dante's poem? In Brighton, where a terrible storm has been raging for several days, two young sportsmen in bathing suits take a salty "shower", 1935.
Photograph. Vintage silver print, stamp and label with handwritten caption on back. Missing in upper left margin.
