"International Ice Patrol, 1959. Operation U.S. tests for destroying shipping's greatest danger. Close-up of one of the crop of 500 icebergs charted crossing the 48th, parallel. It is estimated at being 200 feet high and five hundred feet long, with probably about twive as much below the water. The object of the Iceberg Patrol is to spot and chart every iceberg and whenever possible to destroy it by use of modern methods."
