It belongs to the long series of lithographs and etchings that Picasso devoted to the theme of the painter and his model, a subject that particularly occupied him between 1963 and 1965 — the artist facing his model, and the act of painting itself, as the subject. The plates were produced by Arti Grafice Pezzini, Milan.
