Provenance: Yves Guérin’s Guest Book, 1963–2006
Yves Guérin directed the Palais de la Méditerranée in Nice, then the Casino de Dinard, before becoming involved with exhibitions at the Espace Blanche de Castille in Poissy; from 1963 to 2006, he compiled some sixty original works—drawn and inscribed by the artists he hosted—into a single album.
Description: Trained at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris in the studio of Roger Chapelain-Midy—who is himself featured in the same guestbook, where he inscribed a watercolor in memory of his exhibition at the Palais de la Méditerranée— Michel Henry belongs to the École de Paris and owes his fame to his flower arrangements and still lifes.
