Provenance: Yves Guérin’s Guest Book, 1963–2006
Yves Guérin directed the Palais de la Méditerranée in Nice, then the Casino de Dinard, before becoming involved with exhibitions at the Espace Blanche de Castille in Poissy; from 1963 to 2006, he compiled some sixty original works in a single album, all drawn and inscribed by the artists he hosted.
Description: Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Reims and then in Paris, Jacus was certified as a Peintre de l’Air et de l’Espace in 1986 and became a full member in 1992. He belongs to the group of official painters—of the Air Force and the Navy—which is well represented in the album. The second work by him featured here, this Breton scene, is not listed in the handwritten index.
