Print from the portfolio *Hommage à Arthur Köpcke*, published in 1979 by Den Danske Radeerforening af 1853, Copenhagen, in memory of Fluxus pioneer Arthur “Addi” Köpcke (1928–1977); exemplars are held at the Harvard Art Museums, the mumok in Vienna, and the Broad in Los Angeles. Spoerri, the inventor of the “trap painting” and a founding figure of Eat Art and New Realism—and a close friend of Köpcke since their days in Copenhagen—presents here a paradoxical print that is very much in his style: refusing to participate, yet signing it three times.
