Petersburg Press (Green Bathrobe), 1971
Poster, offset lithograph on thick cream-colored paper.

Dimensions:
+ Sheet: 78 × 56 cm (30.7 × 22 in.)
Condition: Fair condition. Slight general yellowing of the sheet; brownish spots and soiling in the margins, particularly in the upper left and along the left edge; a small scratch with ink loss at the base of the first “e” in “Petersburg,” accompanied by a slight indentation just below it; slight waviness of the paper; minor signs of handling along the edges. The small white dots within the black letters are inherent to the printing process. Unframed.
One of six posters designed by Jim Dine for his 1971 European touring retrospective, published by Petersburg Press, London. The bathrobe—the artist’s surrogate self-portrait since 1964—is numbered individually like an anatomical chart.
