KEYSTONE - HINDENBURG
Explosion du dirigeable Zeppelin LZ 129 Hedinburg, Lakehurst, New Jersey, 6 mai 1937. "The giant trans-atlantic dirigible Hindenburg plunges to the field at the naval air station at Lakehurst. A flaming coffin for thirty-three members of its human cargo. These dramatic pictures, made as the airship ended its trans-atlantic flight, and its career, give a graphic sequence of horror from the time the first burst of flame ripped the ship's stern to its final sinking to earth a hass of charred, twisted girders and smouldering embers.". Photographie. Tirage argentique d'époque, tampons et étiquette avec légende tapuscrite. Image : 24 x 19,5 cm ; feuille : 25,5 x 20,5 cm
